In 1964 two local men, Bob and Len Evans founded Blacon Youth Club FC,
and entered them into the Chester & District league. Ever since
then Blacon have flourished, with two teams up to the early 1980`s, and
currently have several teams at senior and junior level in weekly
action.
Blacon successfully applied for entry into the West Cheshire League
Division Two, in the 1981-82 season, and to their credit quickly
consolidated and in the 1984-85 and 1988-89 seasons, finished in a
creditable Third place. A win in the West Cheshire Bowl final in the
1992-93 season, brought them deserved recognition which eventually led
to what was surely a milestone in the clubs brief history, promotion to
Division One, this was achieved in 1995.
Blacon have now become one of the strongest clubs in the Chester area,
carrying off plenty of silverware, with many victories in all of the
various local competitions.
