Asker football club visited Blacon on the 16th September 2006. The match was well played in a fair and competitive way. Blacon took the early lead with a clever through ball which split the defence, this left Zak Threadgold with only the keeper to beat which he did with a great shot in the top right hand corner. Blacon held their lead until just before half time, when Asker equalized with a great shot from the right-handside high into the top left of the Blacon goal.
